Didn't Make the Cut

When trying to figure out yesterdays Fifth Avenue Simplicity card, I had come up with some other samples. Here are two others that were in the running, but didn't make the cut :) The one on the left is a complete CASE from my monthly SU Success Magazine - a great bonus to becoming a demonstrator, full of inspiration. The one on the right is very similar to yesterdays card with the addition of a Baja Breeze layer and a beautiful decorative edge - loving the Eyelet Border punch!
Promise, the next kreation won't be with Fifth Avenue Floral, but really, isn't it such a pretty set :)

Fifth Avenue Simplicity

Isn't it great when we can make a SIMPLE, quick and beautiful card? I wish I could take full credit for this one, but I was totally inspired by the simplicity of this card. It's not my normal card and I don't usually CASE cards, but sometimes I have a hard time doing quick and simple - and those are important! So I decided not to reinvent the wheel and kreate this for our third card at my recent stamp a stack. And I'm happy to say it got lots of ooooos and aaaahhhs. Instead of adding rhinestones, I highlighted my stamins with the VersaMarker and heat set Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder. The perfect little pizazz for this simple, under 15 minute kreation. I wish you could get the full effect, but photos rarely pick up the shimmer (if you click the photo to enlarge you may see it a bit better). It really is so pretty in person. The final touch, a piece of Pacific Point ribbon tied in a knot and adhered with some glue dots. Simple right?! Hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by to visit.

Remember, Sale-a-bration is ending March 31st, don't forget to place your $50+ order to get your freebies!!

New Technique and Fifth Avenue Floral

More new toys :) I decided to try out a technique that was in our March issue of Stampin' Success magazine. This is one of the many benefits of becoming a demonstrator - a magazine which features product tips, project techniques, and ways to build your business. With the Starter Kit currently being 15% off, $169 and FREE shipping, NOW is the time to Join my team. Or just enjoy the starter kit with no further obligations. Click here for the benefits of being a demonstrator or contact me and I will gladly answer your questions.
Ok, onto this new technique for me... bleach! Yep, you read that correct. I kreated an ink pad with a paper towel and saturated it with bleach. Now please be careful, we all know the hazards of bleach! I 'inked' up my stamp, like you would any other and pressed it onto Baja Breeze. Give it a second for the image to appear - its like magic - at first you don't see anything and then voila'. TIP: SU states not to worry about your stamp as long as you clean it right away.
After stamping each flower, from Fifth Avenue Floral, with bleach, I then went back and 'shadowed' them with Baja Breeze. I 'highlighted' the centers of the two smaller flowers with my VersaMarker and then added some Iridecent Ice Embossing Powder to give them a little sparkle. Click to enlarge the photo for more detail. My sentiment from Sincere Salutations is also bleached. Three Choc Chip brads and the cute choc chip polka dot ribbon from the Valet Ribbon Originals pack finish it off. I sponged the edges with Baja Breeze, snipped 3 corners with my Corner Rounder, placed it on Very Vanilla and finally on Choc Chip.
What do you think? Happy Stampin'
