Sale-a-bration Ends Today

Hello my friends, I'm back! Vacation was very nice, but do you ever come home feeling like you need another vacation? LOL Bags are unpacked, laundry is up to date, and there is food in the fridge, so I can get back to stampin' :)
I can not believe that Sale-a-bration ends today (11:50 MT). Don't delay, stock up and get your FREEBIES while you still can!!
This card is my first easel card, tutorial here from SCS, and I used the Sale-a-bration set Good Neighbors to have some fun with it before its gone :(
* My easel base is Choc Chip Textured cardstock. A strip of 4-1/4 x 8-1/2 scored at 4-1/4 and 6-3/8 and another 4-1/4 x 4-1/4 (eventually I trimmed off the bottom about 1/2 to reveal my sentiment when the card is 'closed', but still able to be an easel card)
* Fold on your score lines, in half and the second score line in the opposite direction
* Using sticky strip I adhered my 4-1/4 square piece to the 2-1/8 x 4-1/4 section of the card - this will kreate your easel! Cool right?
* Cut out a piece of polka dot dsp (not sure which DSP it was from- gasp!) and fringed the top with my snips for some grass and adhered onto Whisper White
* Kreated my scene with the Good Neighbors set, inking up my trees (and bush) with SU Markers - Old Olive, Close to Cocoa, Certainly Celery and Melon Mambo flowers on my bush :). Crushed Curry and Close to Cocoa inked my house which I snipped out and placed on dimensionals. Can you see the little rhinestone doorknob? (from the Egg-cellent Eggs Kit). Bashful Blue puffy clouds were also snipped and adhered with glue dots.
* I had to add a tiny Crushed Curry butterfly from the Beautiful Wings Embosslit :)
* To get your easel to stand by itself, you need to place an 'extra' layer or embellishment to hold up your card. I used the Scallop Border Trim (available as a FREEBIE in SAB) on a piece of Crushed Curry that was run through the Big Shot with Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder and then layered with the gorgeous Choc Chip Satin Ribbon in the Occasions Mini and 'holding' the card with a bow. Cute :)
* The bottom (inside) of the card was inked with a Well Scripted sentiment in Choc Chip craft ink and embossed with Clear Embossing Powder.

Hope you've made the most of Sale-a-bration this year, but if you haven't there are still a few more hours left! Don't wish you had, go for it while there is still time!

Bella Blue B-day

I'll be away from my little stampin oasis and relaxin' and playin' with the family, hopefully beachside (my other favorite oasis) if the weather coorperates. I'll be back in 10 days!! Wahoo! Hope you'll come back and join me then!! I needed a quick b-day card to send out before we go, and with not much time between packing and getting ready for our road trip, this came together as hoped. If you haven't seen my previous floral frenzy with punches, scroll down to take a peek at the roses, carnations and tulips. This card uses the 'carnation' kreation from tissue paper and the Extra Large Flower Punch in the Occasions Mini.
* Standard cardbase of Not Quite Navy
* Layered with Bella Blue DSP
* Kraft Taffeta Ribbon 'hugs' my DSP with a pretty bow adhered with a glue dot
* Happy Birthday comes from the Well Scripted set in the Occasions Mini. I absolutely love the look of this font! Inked in Not Quite Navy and stamped onto Whisper White
* The Not Quite Navy 'vines' come from another of my favorite sets in the Occasions Mini, Vintage Vogue.
* And finally my 'carnation' popped out of tissue, crumpled and given a touch of Not Quite Navy to the petals with my sponge dauber and a little bit 'o bling with a Circle Ice Rhinestone Brad in the center.

Tulips

More flower kreations :) If you missed my other flowers, scroll down to see some carnations and then roses. These are some easy flowers, easy card too, if you have the new 2-step bird punch in the Occasions Mini. Each bird wing in Pretty in Pink, Barely Banana and Orchid Opulence makes up this little bouquet of tulips, with Certainly Celery greenery from the stem in this punch. Don't you just love the versatility of punches!! Have you seen 2 of these birds, beak to beak, to kreate a mans mustache? All you have to do is finish off with a circle nose and some punched out eyes, etc. So Fun!! LOVE Punches!!! Sorry, back to the card...
The vase is another image transformed from an Ornament Punch(116794) featured in the previous holiday mini, but still available to you! Simply snip off the point of the ornament to kreate a flat vase bottom. Cute right? Not much to explain on this one. Go ahead and get punchy :)

Any questions on any of my kreations or techniques, please feel free to contact me anytime. Would you leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts, love it when ya do ;) Happy Stamping...

Carnations

Playing with more paper flowers....did you see the roses in my previous post? Hmmm, are these carnations? They are so pretty whatever they are! And SUPER simple. I've seen so many renditions of flowers out there lately and they are all so great, but I apologize, I do not know whom to give proper credit. If you know, drop me a comment so I can credit them.

Take your Extra Large Fancy Flower and punch through about 10 layers of tissue. Using your piercing tool, pierce through the middle of your layers and fasten a brad. Take the tissue flower and crumple it up in your hand. Carefully and slowly, uncrumple and separate your layers. TIP: Use your pointy piercer tool to separate. Then I just took a dauber and ink of choice to accent the edges of the 'petals'. Easy right!!

*I daubed mine with Apricot Appeal and Cameo Coral and set them on a Standard Whisper White cardbase with some glue dots
*Matted with a Whisper White Top Note that was run throught the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder and placed on dimensionals on the card base.
*Old Olive branches were popped out using the Extra Large 2-step Bird Punch
*A Pretty in Pink Satin ribbon for a pop of color
*Sentiment from Sincere Salutations inked in Pretty in Pink popped out with the Wide Oval Punch and placed on dimensionals.

Give 'em a try - they are so soft and pretty! Let me know your thoughts, love it when ya do ;) Happy Stamping...

A Rose is a Rose

Ah, spring is in the air and I just can't wait to get into my garden. So for now I was more than happy to play with all these paper flowers I've been seeing out there.
Look at these roses, made with the new Extra Large Flower Punch (Occasions Mini) aren't they so pretty? And they're not all that difficult to make. Here is a link for the how to by Julie Williams.

And here is my card, inspired by Gretchen Barron, where I first saw these gorgeous roses. I know there is a rule of 'odds', but 3 of these flowers just looked like too much and took away from how pretty they are! Forgive me!
* Ran a piece of So Saffron and Bridal Specialty paper through the Big Shot with Top Note Die.
* Like Gretchens sample, I sponged Apricot Appeal and Pretty in Pink ink onto a piece of Bridal Specialty paper, (the glossy white swirls on the paper design resist ink - so you can kreate your own beautiful paper). Snipped around the Top Note to layer onto a So Saffron Top Note matte
* My sentiment from Sincere Salutations was inked in Apricot Appeal onto Whisper White and popped out with the Wide Oval Punch.
* Using the same sponges as before, I went over the Whisper White lightly with Apricot Appeal and Pretty in Pink, to soften it and give it the same look as the background.
* Adhered my Apricot Appeal roses with Old Olive leaves, kreated with the Large Oval Punch
* A piece of White Organza ribbon and bow add the final soft touch.

Now, how do you mail this without those purdy roses gettin' smooshed??? LOL

I've had a busy week and some more preparations for an upcoming workshop, but I'll be back shortly with some more fun flowers. Take a looky

Aren't they fun?! Carnations maybe? I'll be back the beginning of the week to explain how and show you my card. Until then Happy Kreating!!

Any questions on any of my kreations or techniques, please feel free to contact me anytime. Would you leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts, love it when ya do ;)

We're thrilled to have you visit and excited to hear what you think about our Spring and Easter themed projects! Please feel free to leave as many comments as you'd like along the way!

I've been having lots of fun playing with the Egg-cellent Eggs Kit in the Occasions Mini. And I will show you that its not all about the egg :)
There is a bunny too :) Seriously, you will see I've used this kit to embellish a lot of projects, so far :) I still have so much more left! It is packed with die cut flowers, stems, leaves, egg stands (or borders as I used them), rub-ons, ADHESIVE BACKED RHINESTONES - shazam, bling bling!! I know, enough chatter, on with the show...

Click on any photo to enlarge.
This is a small cello bag that I used the rub-ons directly onto the cello. A Bashful Blue Top Note cut from the Big Shot is decorated with more Rub-Ons and a Certainly Celery Ribbon (sorry, this is retired, but the Certainly Celery Satin will work just the same and look marvelous!). No, this isn't a decorative ribbon, I used rub-ons directly onto the ribbon!!! Isn't that awesome?!(yes, it will work on your Satin Ribbon too!!).
The card is just a sample of something very clean and simple you could kreate with all these pieces too. Do you see the center bling? Love it!!

Ok, here is your egg...I picked it up at a local craft store and using glue dots adhered little blingy flowers all over.
And here is your bunny... oh ain't it cute? My punch art bunny sitting on this cute little frayed grass - an egg stand transformer ;) with a few flowers in the little basket. This opens up to reveal some yummies in little 'holders' made from the Matchbox die. I'm not sure where this idea originated, but I knew I had to try and make one, so I kreated my own template - very simple! I'll post directions here this week, so you can keep hopping.

And if you missed my Milk Cartons from the other day, look how you can decorate with this awesome kit

I hope you enjoyed seeing what you can do with the Egg-cellent Eggs Kit (I still have SO much left too). It looks like alot of time involved here, not so much, the kit makes it SO easy!!! Some bang for your buck I'd say!!! Well, lets get hoppin...

MOJO feelin' Spring-y

Its time to Play at the PPA and SPRING is in the air!! With the Northeast still blanketed over a foot (or for some 2-3) of melting snow, I am SO ready for spring!! I decided to combine this SPRING challenge with the recent Mojo Monday sketch. My focal point, the little bird and tulips, is from a great set called A Flower for All Seasons AND it could be yours FREE during Sale-a-bration with a $50+ order!!! Don't delay, Sale-a-bration ends March 31st :( , so hurry hurry hurry, stock up on your favorites and earn some FREE products!!

* Inked up this adorable image, from A Flower for All Seasons, in Jet Black Stazon onto Watercolor Paper

* Using my Blender Pens and various inks (Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery, Regal Rose, Old Olive, So Saffron, Creamy Caramel, Close to Cocoa) as my palette, I colored it in. TIP: Squeeze your SU ink pad together and upon opening it, you will have a little pooling of ink to dip your pen or aquapainter into.

* Punched it out with my 1-3/8" Circle Punch

* Kreated a matte of Regal Rose and another of Pretty in Pink to put behind it using my Circle Scissor Plus to make perfect layers. Popped up the image on the layers with dimensionals.

* Certainly Celery is my cardbase with this soft plaid layer from Pawsitively Prints DSP (118060) - this was from the previous Holiday Mini, but IS still available to order!!

* My horizontal strip of Certainly Celery was given a decorative edge with the NEW Scallop Trim Border (available in the Sale-a-bration brochure with a $50+ order)

* Used the new Pretty in Pink Satin ribbon to run through the middle of the strip

* Sentiment taken from A Kind Word was inked with Regal Rose Marker in order to isolate words to stamp onto separate Pretty in Pink panels.

* Non SU adhesive backed pearls were placed on the corners of my sentiment as well as adding a little detail to the end of my Certainly Celery and Pretty in Pink Ribbon strip.

Are ya feelin' SPRING??? I know I'm ready :)

Any questions on any of my kreations or techniques, please feel free to contact me anytime. Would you leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts, love it when ya do ;) Happy Stamping...

Egg-cellent Cartons

Aren't these milk cartons cute!? I have an upcoming class where we will be playing with the NEW Mini Milk Carton Bigz Die available in the Occasions Mini as well as items from the Egg-cellent Eggs Kit (also in the Occasions Mini). You can also view the little birdhouse I kreated using this cute little die by scrolling down to my previous post.
Onto this project... love how it turned out! Its just screaming SPRING to me :)
* Mini Milk Cartons were run through the Big Shot with Orchid Opulence and Pretty in Pink cardstock
* Scribbles and Swirls Sizzlit was run through the Big Shot with Certainly Celery to kreate my 'stems' for eack flower bunch
* After my Mini Milk Cartons were assembled, with Sticky Strip for the maximum hold, I embellished each with the Scribbles and Swirls 'stem' and cute little flowers from the Egg-cellent Eggs Kit. Each flower given a little center bling with self adhesive rhinestones in the pack. Cool!!
* Ran some Orchid Opulence and Pretty in Pink through the Big Shot with the Beautiful Wings Embosslit (again, from the Occasions Mini - this catty has it going on :) !!
* Adhered a wing with a mini glue dot to give it an 'in flight' feel. Bodices adorned with some more tiny rhinestones from the kit.

The Tote - cute right?!

Isn't the community of stampin'/craftin' 'sistas' the best?! This tote template was kreated by Wanda from My Creative Corner which she so generously gave to me. Thanks so much Wanda!!
* I followed her direction with a piece of So Saffron cardstock. I'm waiting to hear from her if it is OK that I share her directions - I know you all are wanting to make this. :) If I get the OK, I will be sure to post them.
* Finished embellishing, again using all items from the Egg-cellent Eggs Kit.
HINT: If you kreate 2 of these totes, you can adhere them back to back to hold 4 of these adorable cartons. SO cute right???

Any questions on any of my kreations or techniques, please feel free to contact me anytime. Would you leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts, love it when ya do ;) Happy Stamping...
