Oh BOY do I have news!

Hello! Well... the news that has kept me away for months... its a BOY!!!! Austin John joins his 2 sisters to make a blessed family of 5 :)
He arrived Oct 12th @ 7:01am and 6lbs 10oz. I know, whats the hold up been - well, Austin gave us a bit of a scare and so had to arrive via an emergency c-section. This rocked my lil world a bit, never having gone through a c-section before (I've never had any surgery or even broken a bone!), but thank the Lord our baby boy is strong and very healthy (just a bit whimpy when it came to the laboring process). I'm still recovering which has been frustrating to say the least, but I am so thankful for all the prayers, help and support and soon enough this too shall pass! So, since I've experienced birthing both ways I could coach any of you pregnant ladies out there on which way to go if you are contemplating! LOL
Anywho, I wanted to share my handsome lil man with you. I hope to be blogging again 'soon' (I say that loosely as I have to take one day at a time!), so I hope you'll stick around :) As Always Happy Kreating

Another School Year

HELLO out there!!! I'm hoping to be able to bring to you a few kreations before the arrival of this new little one. Just wanted to thank many of you for your well wishes and for 'staying tuned' - I CAN promise that I am going to be very busy soon :), but I can also promise I have not lost my desire to kreate and share with you - it will just continue to be sporadic for a while (thanks for understanding!)

So, a new school year has begun! I know January 1 is the start to 'the' new year, but somehow school has always started off the year to me. It means the end of my favorite time of year :( It also means the end to fun, lazy days with my girls. I'm a bit sad today as my oldest starts 1st grade. A FULL day of school. As I watched her walk up to the entrance, I got that tight knot in my throat...Where oh where does time go??? I just can't believe it!

Here's a cutesy card I kreated for her teacher to wish her a great year. Hope she enjoys it. I think its pretty explanatory, but if you have any questions, just let me know.

Just in Time

...for the Dad or the Grad. :) First and foremost I want to say thanks for all your excitement and well wishes on my pregnancy. I am feeling much better now, although I'd have to say I can do without 90+ degree heat! :) But its been cool this week, so I'm happy! And TIME just keeps ticking by and October will be here before I know it! :)
Speakin of TIME...I did want to share this project with you - it was inspired by our current catalog cover since its debut. I had ordered the Sense of Time set awhile back and can you believe it never saw ink until recently? Have any of you done that? That 'must-have' set that then ends up collecting dust! Well, after reviewing the Last Chance Stamp list, and Sense of Time is on it, I knew I had to do this project pronto. So at my last class we went to work on our working clocks. Really fun project and not too difficult - grab your Sense of Time set, DSP, Multipurpose Glue, coordinating ribbon if you choose, embellies and you are ready for a cute keepsake! (Some products used in my samples are retired) The paper mache boxes and clock movements were purchased at a local craft store.
Here are the samples I made. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!!

You can purchase products online with me or email me with your orders.

*Last Chance Stamp Sets - available through June 30th
*Last Chance Accessories - ONLY while supplies last - Stampin' Up will be updating the list at 4pm MT each day.

Cats Outta the Bag (my BIG news)! and the Last Chance Lists are HERE!!!

Thank you all SO much for your kind comments, your emails and all your prayers.
Many of you have been so sweet to send me emails to say you've been thinking about me and wondering if all is ok since you have noticed my absence on my blog. Well after my last blog post, it took about 3 weeks for my kiddos and I to get over all the 'ickies' and finally my kids were feeling much better, but me, not so much. I was still feeling my own kind of ickies - surprise, this was no flu continued and it was going to last my whole first trimester and then some. I'm expecting my third child in early October.
More than half way through my pregnancy, the 1st trimester ickies are over, but I still seem to be SO tired... and life just doesn't stop for tired :) I still have new house projects to complete and now that the days are a bit nicer, I'm outdoors with my other 2 kiddos and tending to lots of gardening (another love beside stampin!) and then night seems to come so quickly and what used to be stamp time is now a very early bedtime. I continue to stamp with my group once a month which I cherish with my ladies and I do hope to get back to PPA challenges and posting soon when/if I can catch up on all other lifes 'stuff'. So now that that cat is outta the bag, lets move on to the big 'CAT'... the soon to be retired items of the 2010-2011 CATalog

It's that time of the year again! The just released LAST CHANCE LISTS are here!

*Last Chance Stamp Sets - available through June 30th
*Last Chance Accessories - ONLY while supplies last - Stampin' Up will be updating the list at 4pm MT each day.
*Last Chance Definitely Decorative - while supplies last

I encourage you to shop my online store as inventory changes rapidly, so you will know promptly if your item is still available. If you see something you like, don't wait to think about it, just go for it, so you don't kick yourself later!

Icky invasion

Sorry for the delay, we had a week off from school, and then my oldest got a horrible virus(way to spend a week off from school) and now my little one is suffering with it 10x worse (please pray for her) After a visit to the dr on Monday, she has no infections, thank God,and fever finally has broken but still has extreme congestion causing severe ear pain and a crazy cough. He said it could be flu related or just a very stubborn virus, but we just have to ride it out. Its just so horrible when you can't help them! So with a BAD case of the ickies and me trying to fend it off myself, there has been no time to stamp :( She is actually sleeping comfortably right now, yah!!, so I thought I'd post this card I did before the ickies invaded my house! If you have any questions on the details, just leave me a comment and I'll post them soon. I need to get some housework done before she wakes up! As a mom I can't afford to be down and out, so keep me in your prayers that I can fight the bug!

Wish Big, Sweet Friend

Jump start those kreative juices with some inspiration, a challenge perhaps! For this card, subject: birthday and then the juices started flowin with the PPA81 sketch. Ready for some deets:

* Why not some Pizazz?! Pear Pizazz standard cardbase with 1" Circles punched in Pear Pizazz. Randomly adhere circles and use your Paper Snips to trim any excess circle hanging off your card.

* Seeing Circles - Kreated perfect concentric circles using my 2-1/2" Circle Punch on Whisper White and the Circle Scissor Plus for the perfect size Pretty in Pink matte.

* Wish Big from Word Play inked in Pear Pizzazz and again on a piece of scrap with Pretty in Pink, just to snip out that lil star ;)

* Gettin Punchie - Create a Cupcake set and coordinating Build a Cupcake Punch in the Occasions Mini are the makings to a mess free, one-of-a-kind kinda cupcake ( and no calories!). This one happens to have a Soft Suede inked bottom, adorned with a few Basic Pearls and just a Pretty in Pink scrumptious frosting. What made this frosting more scrumptious was a quick zip through the Big Shot with a swirly Background Texturz Plate. So fun! And a cherry on top that looks just as scrumptious with a little Crystal Effects to make it shine.

* Have you checked out the last page in the SAB catalog? Over 50+ additional options from the Idea Book and Catalog to pick for FREE with your qualifying order of $50+. Thats how I got the set Hello, You and used this 'Sweet Friend' sentiment inked in Pear Pizazz. Dotted the 'i' with another lil Pretty in Pink star from the Wish Big stamp in Word Play and added a few more Basic Pearls (can ya ever have enough pearls?)

And this card is off to a sweet friend to wish big on her birthday ;) Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope you liked my take on the sketch, I'd love to know what you think, it is so appreciated when you share your thoughts!!
Maybe you'll have some time to Get Kreative and play along too!!

Monochromatic Bloom and Ice!

My first opportunity with my Build a Blossom set and coordinating punch from the Occasions Mini and I'm so happy with the result and can't wait to play some more! I know, its not KISSaturday - but this blossom didn't need anything else, it dazzled all by itself!

* Frame it! The new Framed Tulips Textured Impressions Folder is the perfect design to zip through the Big Shot to add interest to your focal point. I zipped this through with Whisper White and then cut off the outer edge of the frame (so just the 'scallop' and tulip show, no line) than placed this on Dimensionals on my Whisper White cardstock base.

* Inked up my Build a Blossom petal in VersaMark and sprinkled Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder. TIP: This powder sparkles and dazzles but requires you to use your Heat Tool to set and 'melt' into your image - making this preferrable to me over Dazzling Diamonds. I love me some Diamonds too, for smaller things, as it is applied with glue and whatever doesn't stick will stick to me or my recipient ;)

* Get Punchie! SU's coordinating punches and stamp sets are the best!! After heating my petals and making them 'icey', I used the coordinating Blossom Petals Punch to pop out my petals.

* Make it pop! Added dimension to my petals first by using my Sponge Dauber and Pretty in Pink to the lower half of 5 petals. Using my Bone Folder, I slightly curved those 5 petals.

* Build your Blossom! 5 petals to the back and the 5 pink accented curved petals on top. HINT: Place a Glue Dot at each end of the petal, this way you can set your curved petal edge so it maintains that curved look. The polka dot center from the Build a Blossom set was inked in Pretty in Pink and set in the center on a Dimensional. A few small Basic Pearls add that lil extra bit of special ;)

This is so pretty in person, that I just left well enough alone and will place my sentiment on the inside. Thanks for stopping by for a little bit of my Kreativity :) I'd love to know what you think, it is so appreciated when you share your thoughts!!

Any questions, I am always just a click away!

KISSaturday w/ Letterpress Plates

No time to kreate, too many errands, today? OMGosh I forgot, in a pinch ... brings us here to another KISSable card. I know I'm not the only one who has been heard mumbling these words ;) So lets Keep It Simple Sweeties!!! Grab a large background stamp, OR a bold patterned DSP OR, as I have here, the NEW Letterpress Plates w/ your Big Shot and let it do the work for you! You can view the Stampin Up video below to see exactly how to use your letterpress plates.

* Inked up the Lots of Love plate with VersaMark and then went over the word 'LOVE' with Craft Real Red Ink TIP: If you don't have an ink spot for these small areas, your Sponge Dauber works great too! Yeah for Daubers - you know I can't be without them!!!! ;)
* Zip it through the Big Shot with Crumb Cake and you have a beautiful inked, debossed image.
* Distressed the edges using, you guessed it, a Sponge Dauber and Soft Suede ink and mounted it onto a Cherry Cobbler cardbase. Viola, 1-2-3! SO KISSable!!!!

I wanted to show you what just a few more minutes and a few more embellishments can do - and still worthy of a KISS card I think

* Got Tea? OK, I will admit this took a little time, but really, just a little... I snipped off my Crochet Trim Ribbon from the spool and in doing so, my elbow almost knocked over my tea cup. Totally meant to be... I took out my soggy tea bag, grabbed a paper towel and began to rub the tea bag on my ribbon for more of that aged look. SO cool!! TIP: No need to saturate your ribbon - rubbing the damp tea bag worked great! Grabbed my blow dryer for seconds and I was ready to place it on my card.

* Scrunch it! Run SNAIL across card front and do some crunchin' and bunchin' for the scrunchie look

* Add a Trinket! These little embellishments are just so cute!! Tied a Linen Thread bow through my Trinket Key and adhered with a Glue Dot

* Ahhhh, how sweet! Tie it all together with 'Key to My Heart' among the cute sentiments from You're a Gem, popped out with the Curly Label punch.

So, 1-2-3-4 ;) Not bad, right?! Hope you enjoyed another KISSaturday card. I love to hear your thoughts, if you'll take a moment to leave me some 'love', its so appreciated! Have a WONDERFUL weekend and thanks so much for poppin in for a little dose of me! Hope you have time to get inky! Happy Kreating!

Oh, don't forget to check out the video on how to use your Letterpress plates. How cute is the scrapbook page she does? I think I'm getting that scrappin' itch!

More with Nature Walk :)

Don't ya just love to stamp with company!!! Last night was our Stamp A Stack class and as always we all have so much fun chittin 'n chattin, munchin 'n crunchin, singin to tunes and of course stampin away!! If you live in the Northern New Jersey area and would like to join in on the fun, we'd love to have you! Since we kreate 10 cards, I try to keep them easy to replicate. This was the most 'involved' and yes, it is using the Nature Walk set again, but I just love it (and so did the group - its such a great set!)!!! You can see one of the other simple kreations using Nature Walk HERE.

I wanted to make something that really could could go either way for a male or female and that would work with a variety of sentiments, what do you think?
* Started with a Night of Navy cardbase and a Crumb Cake matte
* The images were stamped onto Very Vanilla - Soft Suede bird cage (string hand-drawn with Soft Suede marker), Crumb Cake bees, florals using Rich Razzleberry and Always Artichoke SU Markers
* Distress it up! - using my Sponge Daubers with Soft Suede and Crumb Cake ink, with light circular pressure adding color to the Very Vanilla panel and distressing edges.
* Get Spritzie! - distress it further using your Color Spritzer and a Soft Suede SU Marker
* Added a variety of different sentiments inked in Soft Suede either directly to the image panel or stamped and punch with the Large Oval. Variety is the spice of life :)
* Always Artichoke Seam Binding and a faux bow finish it off
Hope you like another addition of Nature Walk ;) As always thanks for poppin in for a little dose of me! I'd love to know what you think and I so appreciate all your comments!! Happy Kreating!

KISSaturday Nature Walk & a NEW winner!

Good thing I can do a KISSaturday/Sunday card for you - I haven't seen my stamp room since Wednesday and with hubby's b-day today and a Superbowl Party tomorrow, a KISSable card is just what I needed since I wanted to get inky, but really have a lot to be doing! (I know you all can relate - we all need a KISSable card time and again :)
I also wanted to announce a NEW WINNER to my blog candy, drumroll again please....

Kadie in Arizona said...
Kim: What a yummy bunch of stuff you have to give away.....Count me in please. Have been following you for some time now and would have a really difficult time narrowing down any single thing. LOVE all that you have to post. TFS!

WaHoo Kadie, please email me your address and I will get the goodies out to you asap!! :)

Lets get onto to our KISSaturday card - Keep It Simple
* Head for Texture! - whenever I'm looking to simplify, I go for my Big Shot and an Embossing Folder. Now don't fret if you don't have a Big Shot (but seriously, why not?! I KNOW you'd love it!!!!), you could eliminate this step and still have a purdy card. I just think that one easy step with the Big Shot just steps it up a notch with minimal effort and time!
* Zip that Whisper White card through with the new Framed Tulips Embossing Folder,in the Occasions Mini, isn't it great?
* KISS with lots of White Space - Ink up your image, from Nature Walk, with SU Markers to get a variety of color on your rubber, here using Rich Razzleberry and Pear Pizazz (I did use Riding Hood Red on the flowers as well to fulfill the PPA color challenge, but you can barely see the difference in these small blossoms), give a huff of breath to remoisten ink on stamp and stamp. Keeping with lots of white space, I added a simple Rich Razzleberry sentiment from Sincere Salutations.
* Pear Pizzazz seam binding bow wrapped with a green Circle Rhinestone Ice Brad kreates the perfect embellishment to finish off your KISSaturday card, 1-2-3!

And because it was so quick to kreate, I decided to show you how it would look without the Framed Tulip Embossed look - still purdy, right?!

Which do you prefer?? I'd love you to share your thoughts!

Thanks for stopping in for that little dose of me! Happy Superbowlin' and I hope you have some time to get inky and kreative!
Any questions, I am always just a click away!

SNOW cute and a WINNER

OYE! In the midst of yet another blast from mother nature. For those of you in warmer areas, could you share the love?! Please?! I've had about enough of 'ol man winter! Since all I see is a winter wonderland (it is quite pretty), I guess it translated to my card today :) I originally saw a hand drawn snowman face somewhere in blog land and kept it tucked in my memory, but all I could remember was her name was Kim too - isn't she snow cute?!
* Get your MOJO going - jumpstart your kreation with a challenge, it gets those juices flowin! I started off with the current MOJO176 sketch challenge. Cut my Baja Breeze cardbase to a 5-1/4 square
* A soft winter sky. A piece of Paper Vellum was inked with Craft White Serene Snowflakes and dusted with some Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder. Heat it with your Heat Tool for that perfect glimmer
* Strategy! How do you place vellum without seeing how it is adhered? In this case, a Glue Dot is strategically placed in the corners behind a snowflake. Sneeky ;)
* SNOW much fun! Tear your Whisper White paper, Smooch it with Vanilla Shimmer Mist and dazzle the drift with Dazzling Diamonds. Instant snow :)
* Now get punchy! A 1-3/8 and 1-3/4 Circle Punch kreate the snowlady. The Round Tab Punch, altered a tad makes for a cute little hat. And to finsh off her ensemble with a Blushing Bride scarf, I used the Word Window and Photo Corner Punch. Paper Snips were used to kreate some fringe on the ends of the scarf. Last but not least a Small Heart made with the new Glimmer Paper.
* Decorated her hat and scarf with a Daffodil Delight Rosette. Don't worry, you didn't miss something! Take your very vanilla Rosettes from the Occasions Mini and alter it to whatever color SU Marker you'd like. How versatile!
* Bedazzle - Added Basic Pearls to the Rosettes and her body and more Dazzling Diamonds to accent her rosy cheeks, chin, and body (TIP: I use a very little Crystal Effects to adhere my diamonds)
* Make it 3D - add a few Dimensionals for that bit of depth
* The sentiment Enjoy, from the Occasions Mini You're a Gem set falls among the snowflakes. To make it pop alitte, since it kinda blends in, I placed a Basic Rhinestone in the 'o'
* A final touch was some Chuncky Essentials glitter at the base of Rosey(as my daughter named her) and in the center of a few snowflakes.
I hope you Enjoyed ;)

NOW, I know you've been waiting so lets get to the WINNER of my blog candy! But first, thank you for all the wonderful comments on my KISSaturday card.

Drumroll please....... Random.org picked JEN

Thank You

A while back the very talented Wacky Whippet Stamper , Pam, was so sweet to honor me with the Cherry on Top award To play you have to thank the person that sent the award, list 3 things about yourself, and pass it on (that is the hard part! I'm hoping to share the love with new recipients - there is SO much talent out there, everyone deserves an award!!)
1. Linda - Stampin Seasons
2. Linda - Linda's Stamping Loft
3. Melissa - The Stamp Doc

And the uber talented, Martha Stewart of Seasons of Stamping and Debbie of The Paper-azzi Connection, were so kind to leave me this award. Make sure you check out these blogs for some fabulous inpiration!!!
Thanks again Pam, Martha and Deb for such an honor!

Now this one stipulates 8 things about myself and to pass it on to 8 more talented bloggers
Now I'll cheat alittle (shhhh...) instead of listing 3 things about myself for the first award and than 8 things for the 2nd, I'll combine them both, K?
Lets see...
1. As a child, I always wanted to be a vet until high school when we had to put to sleep our collie (we'll that was sad to start off with)
2. I started out this hobby as a scrapbooker and have somewhat forgotten about it (boy do I have a lot to catch up on!)
3. I have never broken a bone (hang on, gotta go knock on wood!)
4. Hubby teases and says I have to choose, another baby or a puppy - my answer and my choice, BOTH :) He never said one or the other, hehe (Our little girls will break him down about the puppy eventually, I have no fear!)
5. I'm not a morning person, I love to sleep in when I can
6. I love the warm weather - I love the beach or sitting poolside (don't love getting in a bathing suit anymore though :(
7. I am freakishly afraid of mice (no joke, my dad said my scream probably gave one a heart attack - it ran out from under a fridge in my parents basement and was dead when my mom came to rescue me off the top of the dryer - no I wasn't little, I was in college - still makes me shiver)
8. I'd LOVE for you to JOIN MY KREW during the Sale-a-bration Starter Kit promotion. Contact me if you'd like to know how!

Now for 8 blogs of inpiration:

1. Emma - Lady and the Stamp

2. Kris - Kween Bee Kreations

3. Lorraine - Paper Vernissage

4. Stasia - Stampin and Scrappin with Stasia

5. Ellen (the punch lady) - Blinkin Thinkin Inkin

6. Michelle - Freedom in Creating

7. Chris - For Love of Paper

8. Krystal - Krystal's Cards and More

KISSaturday and Blog Candy

As much as I love an intrique card with embellishments galore, I just don't always have the time to kreate them. I am starting to enjoy the KISSable card just as much, because I can still accomplish something cute in less than half hour! Its becoming easier to kreate in a pinch! And if you own punches and/or the Big Shot, it speeds up the process even more and you still get the wow factor (so important, right?!) There is no right or wrong way to KISS - just Keep IT Simple Sweetie, whatever 'simple' means to YOU! So here we go with my KISSaturday

* A crisp and clean piece of Whisper White cardbase
* Add texture! What can be easier for that instant pop of pizazz than a little bit of texture. Zip it through the Big Shot with Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder.
* Blender Pens and line are images are great to easily add a variety of color. Grab a line art image, like Birthday Bakery, hostess lev 1 set, and those Blender Pens and have fun coloring.
* Add some more fun pizazz to your image. A little Dazzling Diamonds goes a long way. Accented each cake with a little sparkle using some Crystal Effects and sprinkled on the diamonds. Scrumptious!
* Get punchy!! Corner Punch on opposing corners for something different! Melon Mambo matte with a punched Scallop Trim Border. And punched Large Tag - always remember to stamp your image first than punch. When someone new attends my classes, I always get that light bulb moment! They are amazed thinking my placement is perfection! No no no sillies - stamp than line up your punch around your image! Ahhhh, the light bulb goes off!!
* A little ribbon (Melon Mambo polka dot- retired, sorry) a faux knot and a tag danglin from Linen Thread finish off my KISSaturday card! Hope you like it

AND NOW for a gift I've promised you all week!!! A little blog candy! WaHooo, thats always fun isn't it! All you need to do is leave me a comment! Lets see, you can always leave a comment about me card (love it when you share your thoughts) OR tell me what you can't wait to earn free in SAB?? I must have that Chalkboard Decor Elements to put up in my craft room!! And than I have to have the goodies for MDS and than.... hehehe
Leave a comment on this post for a chance to win by midnight(EST) January 31st and I will announce the winner next week (open to US only) !!!

Candy Includes:
* Its the Thought Clear Mount Stamp Set (a line art set like above)
* Basic Rhinestones
* 3 yards of Melon Mambo Polka Dot ribbon (used in my card above)
- ya think you could have fun with these and maybe make a card very similar to mine above with these items!!! :) Good Luck on your win!

Bows and MOJO

The PPA78 challenge this week is all about bows. I decided to jump start my mojo with this weeks MOJO Monday sketch and combine the two challenges. I had to ink up this new set, Easter Blossoms, from the Occasions Mini and play with that gorgeous Springtime Vintage DSP again (scroll down to see my desk calendar). So here we go

* Standard Baja Breeze cardbase
* Grab your Color Spritzer - get flecky with it :) Soft Suede ink is spritzed all over my cardbase
* The soft silhouette image gets inked onto Very Vanilla cardstock with Crumb Cake ink
* Popped her out with the 2-1/2 Circle Punch
* Need circles? You want to have the Circle Scissor Plus as one of your go-to tools. This tool is great for kreating circles up to 6in and is perfect for a small increment to matte behind another. So guess what I did? Cut out a Very Vanilla circle slightly larger than my 2-1/2 Punch for the perfect matte.
* Doll it up with some pretty Basic Pearls
* Whats a card these days without the Big Shot, right? Placed the flecked front of my cardbase into the new Framed Tulips Embossing Folder and zipped it through.
* To add to the vintage feel, I grabbed my always handy Sponge Dauber inked with Soft Suede and lightly swept over the embossed frame
* A piece of floral Springtime Vintage DSP got the same vintage treatment using my Sponge Dauber and Soft Suede ink.
* Added the final challenge elements for the PPA, bows. Kreated 'double bows' and centered them with the new Rosettes and a Basic Pearl. Accented a tad by lightly brushing my Soft Suede Dauber over the 'petals'.

Thanks for stopping in! I hope you liked my take on these challenges and I hope it inspires you to get your fingers inky! I love it when you share, so let me know what ya think,K?

A New Year!

Oh what fun it is to stamp and kreate with others!! Thanks ladies for such a fun night. And a special thank you to Karen for all the amazing goodies and favors - oh I wish I had taken a picture for you all out there - fudgy brownies, heart cookies, chocolate candies, just delish and a handmade Valentine card and marshmellow chocolate candies (seriously my jeans are tight today - not so LOL!!) If you live in the Northern New Jersey area and would like to attend my classes, just let me know, we'd love to have you!!
So we made Valentine cards that you can see here and here and I had to start out the year with this very functional Easel Calendar Box project. You can find the tutorial HERE from Connie Babbert.
* The box was kreated with Baja Breeze paper
* The easel started with Old Olive and this gorgeous designer paper, Springtime Vintage from the new Occasions Mini. A piece of this paper also decorates the front of the 'drawer'
* Inked up my sentiment from Fifth Avenue Floral set, in Baja Breeze onto Very Vanilla cardstock and punched it out with the 2-3/8 Scallop Circle Punch
* Raised that up on Dimensionals onto a 2-1/2 Circle Punched in Old Olive and popped the entire 'ensemble' on Dimensionals
* Pearls and Swirls! Embellished the Scallop Circle with some Basic Pearls and zipped up a few Old Olive swirlies using the Big Shot and Swirls Scribble Sizzlit.
* Baja Breeze Rosette?? Absolutely! Transform your Very Vanilla Rosettes from the new Occasions Mini into any color you'd like, just grab your SU Marker and color - its that easy! Finished off that Rosette with a Basic Pearl center.
* Bound my calendar with Circle Ice Rhinestone Brads and placed it on the top to 'hold' the easel
* Springtime Vintage DSP decorates the front 'drawer' panel and a Filigree Designer Brad kreates the drawer pull

Don't ya love it? I'd love to know what you think. Thanks for stopping by for a little dose of me!

Nature Walk

Quick post as I'll be heading out the door for the weekend with my family to visit my in-laws before the snow birds head to Florida for a few months. We have a few birthdays to celebrate since they won't be here and this card is for my FIL. I tried to keep it masculine, but do you think I over did it with the scrunched seam binding? Hmmmm??? Anywho, here are the deets
* Started with a Very Vanilla cardbase.
* En Francis Background Stamp was inked in Soft Suede ink and stamped onto another piece of Very Vanilla, trimmed slightly smaller than the card base
* Antique it! Get out your Sponge Daubers. Lightly wisped across the layer with Soft Suede and then deepened the aged look with Early Expresso ink around the edges and sporadically within the image.
* Images from Nature Walk in the new Occasions Mini where inked in Soft Suede and randomly stamped onto Soft Suede cardstock to kreate my own nbackground paper.
* Add Texture (even over stamped images!!)! It adds so much to a card! Run the image stamped piece through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder
* Make it rustic. Don't be afraid to tear paper. Age it more by 'curling' edges to make it rough looking and then get busy with your Dauber again. Early Expresso defines all the edges
* Stamped the cage in Soft Suede onto Very Vanilla
* Snip it! Add more dimension and pop up your image on Dimensionals
* Layered it onto an Early Expresso punched Decorative Label
* Finished it off with a scrunchie birdcage'hanger' using Crumb Cake Seam Binding. TIP: Kreate this look using a piece of Sticky Strip and gather little pieces of ribbon and stick, gather and stick until you have your desired length.

Gotta run! Thanks for dropping in for that little dose of me. Have a wonderful weekend. Hope you have some time to get your fingers inky and be Kreative!!

Driving by with a Birthday 'hi'

Another great sketch for the PPA77 Challenge. My stash of birthday cards has diminished greatly and my card style seems to have changed enough that I can't even think to send some of the 'older' ones out. LOL (Although I'm not so sure I'm liking this one either-urgh!)THe juices got flowin' by using the PPA77 sketch and the SCS color challenge (CC306): Bravo Burgundy, Pear Pizazz, and Baja Breeze. Wasn't sure how I'd make it work, but Bravo Burgundy helped me go masculine! I donno, does this work for masculine??
* Standard Baja Breeze cardbase texturized with a zip through the Big Shot and the Texturz I Background Plates
* Amazing what some texture does to a card! Zipped the piece of Bravo Burgundy through w/ the same plate
* Snazzed up the Pear Pizazz with a change of pattern and used the argyle Texturz I Background Plate
* Inked up the truck from Loads of Love in Basic Brown

* Ready to color? Grab your Blender Pens!
TIP: Let your inked blender fade out the color to give it that watercolor feel and to 'highlight' areas.
Add a touch more highlighting with your White Signo Gel Pen

* Sentiment inked in Bravo Burgundy and popped out with a 1"Circle Punch and matted on a 1-1/4 Circle of Bravo Burgundy

Not vintagey, not frilly, not quite sure LOL But it will work for the intended recipient! He'll never admit anything to me anyway ;)
Thanks Margaret for a great sketch and thank you for stopping by for a little dose of me! I hope you liked my take on these challenges and I hope it inspires you to get your fingers inky I'd love to know what ya think, esp, if you think it works for masculine?! I love it when you share!
