Waiting for Spring

This template for the TLC208 challenge was the perfect box that I needed for my little gift. Just print it out and decorate as desired - so easy! I used a piece of Holiday Happenings (retired hostess lev 3) paper and left things simple - scalloped the round top using my corner rounder and placed a matching piece along the front and also scalloped the edge. Wrapped a Baja Breeze double stitched ribbon around the 'box' and embellished with two flowers from the Pretties kit. The pink was kreated easily with a Pretty in Pink marker - voila'. A Filigree Brad and Circle Ice Rhinestone (pink) adorn the center of the flower. It was that easy for the box!! I placed my little terra cota pot with dirt and seeds ready to plant, tied with a Baja Breeze ribbon and using the Tag Punch popped out my frog and watering can from the Flowers for All Season set. Fun! Happy Stamping!

Delightful

This is my last card of all the Flower for All Season images. This is a great little set for only $14.95. If you'd like to place an order at anytime, feel free to contact me or click on the Online Ordering Icon on the top right of my blog. This will redirect you to my SU website where you will click on the SHOP NOW (below my name and other info) for convenient and easy ordering anytime you'd like :)
So, todays card is just a Delight. That little bird looking at that cute basket of tulips...just adorable, as is each image in this set. To keep the look of my card set, I again used my SU Blender Pens to color in my image on Whisper White. I then took to piercing again at each corner using my Mat Pack and piercing tool. And then mounted this on Barely Banana and used my Scallop Edge Punch to decorate the bottom. I also pierced the Pretty in Pink base at two corners. Baja Breeze is offset and placed vertically behind my image and faux stitched using my white Signo Gel Pen. My sentiment, from Define Your Life,is inked in Regal Rose craft ink and heat embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. A Baja Breeze double stitched ribbon adds some fun and the finishing touch to the card. So there you have it, all four images from this set are complete and can be viewed if you scroll down my blog. Now I have to create a cute little box to hold them in and I have a great little gift :)
As promised I will have some very cute projects from my fun class, Sweet Treats, so make sure to check back :)
PS Don't forget, the end of this great promotion, 15% off Never Before Seen Stamps is Sept 30th, make sure to email me with your orders or click on the Online Ordering Icon as I talked about in the beginning of the post.

A Cheery Get Well

Sunflowers and a little ladybug, put a little smile on my face when I first saw this cute set, Flowers for All Season. So why not put a smile on someones face who may not be feelin so well! The 4x4 base is Kiwi Kiss with a horizontal band from Ghostly Greetings DSP (designer series paper) - and its not even a halloween card :) SU knows what they are doing, halloween on one side and any occasion on the other - makes the paper soooo versatile! My image from Flowers for All Season is stamped in Basic Black onto Whisper White and I used SU Blender Pens to color it in. TIP: Squeeze the lid of your stamp pad together to kreate a pool of ink on the cover of the opened pad. Dab your Blender Pen in the pool of ink and begin to color/shade. Great alternative to watercolor. Its keeping with the look of the other cards made with this set - to be placed in a box and given as a very cute and functional gift. Scroll down my posts to view my other cards with this adorable set of 4. Ok, back to the card... the Whisper White corners are Ticket Punched and then paper pierced using the Mat Pack with template and mounted onto So Saffron. The sentiment was taken from a Fun and Fast Notes set image. Utilizing Markers, you can be selective and only ink up what you'd like stamped, so I inked the sentiment with my Old Olive Marker and stamped on Whisper White and again mounted on So Saffron. Added 2 Earth Elements Brads to place emphasis on the sentiment and popped it up on dimensionals.
I have one more image from this set to show you :) And stay tune for the projects done at my Sweet Treats Class. Thanks Ladies, I had a blast as always!

Seasonal Cardinal

Stay tune for two more images from this adorable set, Flower for All Season, but I had some scraps and another cardinal and poinsettia that I had already colored in with SU Blender Pens and ink. I figured why not throw together a quick card with some stuff already out on my table. The 4x4 card base is Ruby Red with a diagonal strip of Old Olive. Like I said I already had my image completed - stamped in Basic Black and colored in with Blender Pens on Whisper White. Kreated score lines around the image and popped it up on dimensionals. I used the stamp from Punches Three (current hostess set lev 1) and inked it in Ruby Red Craft Ink (wiped off the excess ink with a baby wipe so just 'Merry Christmas' was inked. Then sprinkled Clear Embossing Powder over it and heated it up to really make my sentiment 'shine'. Punched out the sentiment with my large Oval Punch and then placed an oval piece from the Silver Hodgepodge Hardware (had to use my paper snips to trim a bit of the Whisper White oval) Gave it a bit more 'shine' with two Circle Fire Rhinestone Brads to hold my hardware in place. Really was a quick card, but I guess I had a big advantage with some already 'prepared' items :) But really, the only task on this card that will take a wee bit of time is coloring your image, other than that it was a cinch! So, don't forget about those scraps, because if you are in a pinch, you could make that quick and cute card just like I did :)
I have a fun class set up for tonight - Sweet Treats, see some of you ladies later :) I'll be sure to show you our fun projects at the end of the week, so make sure you check back.

Another Season

If you view my previous post, you'll see another seasonal image from A Flower for All Seasons set. This set of four is just so cute! Todays card, the cardinal and poinsettias were stamped in Basic Black ink and then I used my Blender Pens to color the image in on Whisper White. I had to play around a bit with the Blender Pens, but it is an easy alternative to watercoloring. With a closed ink pad, squeeze the pad together and when you open the pad, there will be a little pool of ink in the cover. Just slightly dab your Blender Pen in the ink pool and you can begin to color. When finished with one color, just scribble on scrap until no color comes off your Blender Pen and you are ready for the next color. Pretty easy. I used a circle stencil to cut out my image (the 1 3/8" circle punch would have cut off some of my image), and then placed it on a Ruby Red Scallop Punch. The base of this card is Certainly Celery and a piece of Holiday Treasures Designer Paper was given a decorative edge with the Scallop Edge Punch. Choc Chip grosgrain ribbon finishes off the look and then placed the Ruby Red scallop with image on dimensionals. The sentiment, from Snow Swirled, was inked in Ruby Red and then heat embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. Pretty simple card except for coloring in my image. Hope you like it. Leave me a comment and let me know - love to hear what you think!

Just Cuz

I just love this little frog from A Flower for All Seasons. This is a great little set to make some all occasion notecards and give as a gift -guess you know what I'm up too :) AND its only $14.95. This 4x4 card started with a Bashful Blue base. I took a piece of retired designer series paper in bashful blue (the current bashful blue series would work just as well, or any color scheme you chose) and used my Corner Rounder at each corner. The hardware in the corner is also retired, but a great alternative would be the flower slide in the current Hodgepodge Hardware (I'm just trying not to neglect the 'old' stuff - of course I get lost in always playing with the new toys and forget the 'old' stuff is just as great). I stamped my frog and daisies on Whisper White in Basic Black ink and then used my SU Markers to color them in. Then sponged a Bashful Blue sky behind them. Mounted that on So Saffron. I used my Mat Pack with paper piercer and template to pierce around the one corner. The sentiment, from Just B, (currently on the Dormant List) is heat embossed with White Embossing Powder. 'Just Cuz' I felt like it :) Let me know what ya think
