Delightful

So, todays card is just a Delight. That little bird looking at that cute basket of tulips...just adorable, as is each image in this set. To keep the look of my card set, I again used my SU Blender Pens to color in my image on Whisper White. I then took to piercing again at each corner using my Mat Pack and piercing tool. And then mounted this on Barely Banana and used my Scallop Edge Punch to decorate the bottom. I also pierced the Pretty in Pink base at two corners. Baja Breeze is offset and placed vertically behind my image and faux stitched using my white Signo Gel Pen. My sentiment, from Define Your Life,is inked in Regal Rose craft ink and heat embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. A Baja Breeze double stitched ribbon adds some fun and the finishing touch to the card. So there you have it, all four images from this set are complete and can be viewed if you scroll down my blog. Now I have to create a cute little box to hold them in and I have a great little gift :)

Another Season

If you view my previous post, you'll see another seasonal image from A Flower for All Seasons set. This set of four is just so cute! Todays card, the cardinal and poinsettias were stamped in Basic Black ink and then I used my Blender Pens to color the image in on Whisper White. I had to play around a bit with the Blender Pens, but it is an easy alternative to watercoloring. With a closed ink pad, squeeze the pad together and when you open the pad, there will be a little pool of ink in the cover. Just slightly dab your Blender Pen in the ink pool and you can begin to color. When finished with one color, just scribble on scrap until no color comes off your Blender Pen and you are ready for the next color. Pretty easy. I used a circle stencil to cut out my image (the 1 3/8" circle punch would have cut off some of my image), and then placed it on a Ruby Red Scallop Punch. The base of this card is Certainly Celery and a piece of Holiday Treasures Designer Paper was given a decorative edge with the Scallop Edge Punch. Choc Chip grosgrain ribbon finishes off the look and then placed the Ruby Red scallop with image on dimensionals. The sentiment, from Snow Swirled, was inked in Ruby Red and then heat embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. Pretty simple card except for coloring in my image. Hope you like it. Garden Silhouettes

Quick post today...This is a great little set, Pocket Silhouettes, that is on sale for $16.11 until Sept 30. Don't miss out! One of the 6 stamps from this set was inked in Old Olive and stamped randomly on to the Old Olive base. A piece of Urban Garden Designer Paper was given a decorative edge using the Scallop Edge Punch and layered over a piece of Not Quite Navy. Another stamp from the same set was inked in Old Olive and stamped onto Whisper White. It was punched out using the new Curly Label punch (which is in a very fun bundle deal pg 189)and popped up on dimensionals over an Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon. The sentiment was also inked in Old Olive on Whisper White... and there ya have it. Hope ya like it!

Hey Mets Fans...

Well, if you are a NY Mets fan, you'll love this color combo. :) I was playing around with the New In Colors and I have yet to touch Tangerine Tango. So it was time. I laid Pacific Point and Whisper White next to it and I thought it looked like an OK combo. But after finishing, its NOT my favorite combo- sorry Mets fans (could be cause I'm Not a huge orange fan). But I thought I'd share with you anyway. I used my Coluzzle to pop up my half circle at the top of my card. Tangerine Tango was Scallop Punched and placed in the middle of my circle and my Pacific Point butterfly, from the Priceless set, was set on dimensionals. I inked 2 more butterflies in Pacific Point and gave them a 'flight path' with a Whisper White flourish, again from Priceless, shadowed by a Pacific Point flourish. I used the same 'shadowing' technique with my sentiment. The bottom piece of Tangerine Tango is embossed the ol fashion way with light box and Priceless Stencil (flower). Unfortunately this picture doesn't show the embossed images well, but it is pretty. (if you click on the image to enlarge, you may see the detail a bit better) The edges are decorated using the new Scallop Edge Punch and a White Signo Gel pen finished off the top with alittle faux stitching and some highlighting. What do ya think? Definitely not my normal card, but its good to go out of comfort zone every once in awhile, right????

Purse-onally Fab

The cutest little purse, right! This was kreated with my new favorite Designer Series Paper, Bella Rose. The catalog release is just days away, Aug 11th, and you too can enjoy this fabulous paper. Make sure to add it to your wish lists and email me your orders when you are ready. So to kreate this fabulous purse, you use your Round Tab Punch for the base and your small and large Oval Punches for the handle. It is amazing the kreations that people have come up with using punches. I wish I had a better photo to share of all the amazing punch designs that were displayed at the Spring Fling Convention I had attended in the spring... Well, I guess you'll just have to visit my blog often in case I decide to add another fun punch design to a project :)
The base of my card and horizontal scalloped band is one of the upcoming In Colors, Pink Piroutte. And the fun scallops were made with the soon to be released Scallop Edge Punch. My sentiment is from the Just B set and inked in Craft Ruby Red and heat embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. For 'fabulous you'... hope you like it!

Sneak Peek - Scallop Crazy

As a SU demonstrator you get many benefits and one of them is the ability to pre-order products from the new catalog (to be released Aug 11th - can't wait!!) I finally got my goodies Friday night, but with a busy weekend, I didn't get to play much until late last night. But without further ado here is a card using a few of my new things
As you can see in this card I went alittle scallop crazy. I love the new Scallop Edge Punch. I think this will be the 'must have' tool of the year!! It was so easy and quick. So if you are one that has used your slit punch or corner rounder to make each scallop one by one, this is the tool for you!!! I also used a new Designer Series Paper (DSP), Bella Rose that matches the new In Colors. The base is Pink Pirouette and layered under Bella Rose DSP, is Riding Hood Red. Not too much stampin on this card. I took my new stamp set Dreams du Jour and used Mellow Moss, Ruby Red and Pretty in Pink to color on my stamp. Those colors match very close to the DSP. I inked up my stamp, huffed it to remoisten and stamped it onto Whisper White. Placed my In Color layers of Riding Hood Red and Pink Pirouette behind my image and popped it up on dimensionals. Did the same layering with my sentiment that was inked in Mellow Moss as well. This card was very simple to make, definitely under 15 minutes. Not sure its a favorite, but its growing on me. What do you think, I'd love to know!
