Thinking of You...

I used this weeks SCS Sketch Challenge (SC221) to kreate this card for my Aunt who just had a total knee replacement. I finally inked up my Thoughts and Prayers set, used my blender pen to pick up some Baja Breeze and color the flowers on my stamp and then used my Choc Chip Marker to isolate the leaves and branches. I then used my VersaMarker to highlight some of the flowers and then sprinkled some Iridescent Ice embossing powder to give them a subtle shimmer. I also traced over the leaves and branches with my VersaMarker and heat embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. You may think you are seeing double when you look at the sentiment, and I guess you are :) I inked up my stamp with Creamy Caramel first and stamped it out and then inked it again with Baja Breeze and offset it slightly to kreate a shadowed effect. This can more easily be done by using a Stamp-a-mi-jig (101049), but luckily I have a pretty good eye for my placement. I sponged the edges of both my Parisian Breeze DSP, with Baja Breeze, and my layer of Kraft, with Choc Chip, to give it a bit more depth. Gave the base of my Baja Breeze a soft embossed look with my Big Shot and Texturz Plates. After running through the Big Shot, I lightly sanded over the raised embossed image, which further 'highlights' the raised image. I have a busy weekend preparing for a workshop, but I'll be back Monday, hope you have time to kreate something great :)Maybe try out this sketch :)

Happy Stamping

Kim

So pretty and wonderful tips. I love the idea of dotting with the Versamarker and covering with "ice." My sister and brother in law just had knee replacement (and got cards from me). Long rehab. She will love her card.

Hugs,

Mary
