Anything look different? Kool right?! My awesome new blog banner was kreated by my dear friend Kris from Kween Bee Kreations using My Digital Studio software. Isn't it so pretty? I have to try and do some tweeking as I can't figure out how to make it a bit larger and flush to the edges, but I just couldn't wait to get it up there!! Let me (and Kris) know what ya think of it!! She captured what I wanted perfectly!! Thanks my friend!!
While I'm praisin' Kris for my wonderful banner, check out her monochromatic challenge too. I've showed you a few cards using the gorgeous paper from the Bride Specialty and Groom Specialty paper (scroll down to see more), I think this will be the last post - I have more, but I don't want to bore you, and I know you get the idea how fabulous this paper is :)
My dad had requested some Valentine cards with birds and hearts to give to my mom and this was one of the samples I had given him (he went with a watercolored cardinal instead - forgot to take a photo in the rush!). Anywho...
This would be great for a wedding or anniversary too, don't ya think? Since I needed something quick, within a few hours (nothing like a man to ask the night before Valentines Day, but I give Dad lots of credit for wanting to add a more personal touch!) and I wanted to give him more than one option - I reached for the gorgeous Bride Specialty paper
* Used a standard card base of Whisper White
* Cut a piece of the Bride Specialty to layer on top
* Before mounting on top, I tucked my White Organza Ribbon behind the layer and then added it to my card base. Tip: This saves you a bit of ribbon over time and also allows you to make it nice an taut by adhering the edges down on the back. Made a pretty bow and attached it with a glue dot
* Ran a piece of Shimmery White cardstock through the Big Shot with my bird from the Birds and Blooms 4 pk sizzlit dies.
* Using a Sponge Dauber inked with Sahara Sand, I lightly inked up the edges and wings of the bird to give it some dimension.
* Punched out a small heart in Real Red and coated it with some Crystal Effects
* Popped up my birds and heart on dimensionals and used tiny pearls to accent the eyes.
Quick and simple card, not entirely monochromatic, but I like the little pop of color :)
Leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts, love it when ya do ;) Happy Stamping...

Big Shot gets a workout :)
Don't forget about Sale-a-bration! You have until the end of this month to get some FREE goodies! The stamp I used here is from the Yummy set which could be yours free if you place an order of $50+ (before shipping and tax). Click here for more Sale-a-bration details.
Not too much stamping on this card, but the Big Shot got a workout. I started off rolling Whisper White and So Saffron through my Big Shot with the Top Note Die. I cut along the perforations of the Whisper White and layered it on top of the So Saffron. Ran Bashful Blue through with the scrolled Texturz plate (Backgrounds 1). Layered my Top Notes on the Bashful Blue with the Certainly Celery Poly Twill ribbon (SAB freebie) peeking out from behind. Then stamped along the bottom of the Whisper White with this 'Yummy' flourish. I wanted to use a different sentiment, so I isolated the scroll/flourish by using my Certainly Celery and So Saffron Markers to ink up that portion of the stamp. Then I huffed the image to remoisten the ink and stamped. I inked up my sentiment from the Best Yet set (retired hostess set) in Bashful Blue.
Then I ran the Simple Flower Embosslits Die through with Pink Pirouette and So Saffron and the Certainly Celery leaves are from the Birds and Blooms sizzlits. Placed some half pearls from the Pretties Kit in the center of my flowers and sponged the edges of the flowers and leaves. Pretty simple card to kreate. Hope you like it :)
For all of you in the cold, I'm hopefully sitting on the beach sending warm thoughts your way :)
For now, go kreate

Lovey Dovey Brag Book
This is the Brag Book we made at my class on Monday night. This little photo book will hold 30 photos (only 15 envies) and is a great gift option. SU's Clear Envelopes (item # 102619) are the perfect acid free, archival safe, sleeve for a 4x6 photo. You can view my other photo book HERE.
The book is kreated using two pieces of 7-1/4x5 Pretty in Pink which will perfectly hold the clear photo envies inside. The book is secured with 2 Pewter Eyelets at the edge and accessorized with a pretty Rose Red Double Stitched Ribbon. All you need to do is decorate your cover! We had such a fun night with this little project. Hope you like it. If you'd like more detail, please feel free to contact me. Scallop Bag
Sorry I missed yas this weekend! My hubby and 4 yr old went to visit family while I stayed home tending to my little one who was sick :( Not much time to stamp and I had to prepare for my class tonight. But, giddy me, I am Guest Stamper at Stampin' Pretty. Mary has been a huge source of inspiration for me (and I'm sure many of you too), so it is an honor that she wanted to showcase my Scallop Bag. Lucky Me! Thanks Mary!
It's this cute!! This is the NEW Scallop Bag Bigz Die from the New Spring/Summer Catalog. Crank your die through the Big Shot you'll get the perfect cut out and scored paper to then assemble into this cute little box. I ran Not Quite Navy through the Big Shot for my box and then another small piece of Baja Breeze to kreate a layer under my scallop flap. Assembled with Sticky Tape and viola', instant bag. Super quick and then all that is left is to decorate it. Since I was using the Big Shot, I got out my Birds and Blooms sizzlit dies and ran the Blooms through with Old Olive, Baja Breeze and Whisper White. Sponged some edges with Not Quite Navy Craft ink and then heat embossed with Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder to make the flower sparkle a bit. Blotted my VersaMark pad over my leaves and then sprinkled Iridescent Ice EP to give them the same sparkle. Finished the center off with a yellow Circle Fire Rhinestone Brad. Stamped my sentiment from Fresh Cut on Baja Breeze and used the Word Window Punch to shape my sentiment. White Organza Ribbon adds the finishing touch and closure to the scalloped flaps.
The finished box is approx 3-3/4 high x 2-1/4 wide x 2-3/4 deep. Cute huh?!! Love it! Leave me a comment and let me know what you think? Love it when you do
