One of a Kind

Does something look different? Are you looking at these gorgeous colors thinking you haven't seen them before? Well you will be seeing them shortly (July 1st marks the release of the new SU Idea Book & Catalog - you'll love it!!) and I'm sure the new In-Colors will be on your must have list. I started this card with a Clean and Simple sketch from Splitcoast. Add a little here a bit there, I think I now have a 'Dirty' card. LOL, but its all about inspiration! Not sure I love it (may try it again in the AM), but I had fun playing with my new colors ... I had to use 2 of the new In-Colors Rich Razzleberry and Crushed Curry (oooooo, ahhhhh - aren't they purdy!) I inked up my sentiment from One of a Kind in Rich Razzleberry and then my Tart N Tangy cherries in Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive Marker for the stems and randomly stamped them on Whisper White around my sentiment. Have you ever had a Rainier Cherry? They are yellow (perfect, Crushed Curry) with a hint of 'pinkish' color and are totally scrumptious - like eating candy!! So I inked up my one of a kind cherry in Crushed Curry and rolled the edges in Rich Razzleberry and stamped on Whisper White and added some Crystal Effects to give them some dimension. Popped it out with a 1-1/4" Circle Punch and layered on Rich Razzleberry 1-3/8" Circle and a Crushed Curry Scallop Circle. Placed a Crushed Curry matte behind my cherries and adhered to my 4-1/4" x 4-1/4" Rich Razzleberry card base. A Rich Razzleberry Polka Dot Ribbon makes a small debut behind my Scallop Circle. Isn't it cute (if you love polka dots like I do you'll be seeing 'spots' on all the ribbon that matches the In Colors - shhhhh)
I have a few Fathers Day cards and teachers cards to finish up and then...
More sneak peeks to come :)

Real Red Cherries

And the colors are... Real Black Olives!!! I decide on cherries though. Real Red, Old Olive, Basic Black and your choice of Whisper White or Very Vanilla - that was SCS Tuesday Color Challenge. Immediately I thought of my very neglected Tart 'n Tangy set - I love this little set of four, makes me think summer :) Click here, for a few more fun samples with this set. My base is Whisper White and I inked up my cherries with my Stampin' Up! Markers: Real Red and Old Olive. Color directly on your stamp for custom colored images, a 'huff' of air to remoisten the ink and stamp.
I used a piece of scrap to mask off the right side of my card and only stamped my custom colored image along the left side. I lined up the remainder of the card with my large polka dots Texturz Plate and ran it through my Big Shot. By only doing a portion of the card you will end up with a 'seam' from the plate - no problem!!! Its hidden under my Black Gingham Ribbon :) Cool huh - you'd never know! A Circle Fire Rhinestone adds the perfect touch to the center of my bow. I stamped out my cherries one last time and popped them out with my 1-3/8" Circle Punch. Then I took my VersaMarker and traced over my image and sprinkled with Clear Embossing Powder. Used my Heat Tool to give it that shiny raised image. Matted it on a Real Red punched Scallop Circle which was given some extra detail with a White Signo Pen. A quick Rub-on transfer kreates my sentiment. Thanks a bunch for stoppin by :)

Fruitful Organizer

Happy Labor Day to you all! I hope you are enjoying your last summer hooray. Sorry I haven't posted this weekend, but haven't much time to stamp as we ARE enjoying the last summer hooray! But I did complete this fun box to share with you. This can be a great card organizer, coupon organizer or even a recipe holder. My box is kreated with Certainly Celery and layered on top is Cameo Coral. The colors just screamed watermelon, summer, fruit :) So I decided to use my Tart 'N Tangy set and ink up with my markers (Certainly Celery, Cameo Coral, Old Olive, Apricot Appeal Markers) and stamp onto Whisper White. TIP: To get various colors on one stamp, remember this fun technique and color in your images, breathe/huff on the stamp to remoisten and stamp.
I used a velcro seal to keep the lid closed and I punched out a piece of Apricot Appeal with my Scallop Circle Punch and popped it up on dimensionals. Very cute little gift - Great for a bride to be with some recipes inside or to fill with some handmade all occasion cards for anyone. Hope you like it, leave me a comment and let me know what you think :) Enjoy Labor Day - sit back, relax and do something you love!

A Sweet Treat

Love to say thanks with more than words, so the ladies at my last workshop received a sweet treat for coming and having a fun night with me. As I told you, I love the Tart 'N Tangy set in the Occasions Mini... don't forget, you have until the end of June to purchase from the Mini. So, this is what they got.

Super cute right! I used my Real Red and Old Olive markers to kreate my strawberries (don't they look so fresh and scrumptious!!) I inked them up, huffed and stamped them on Whisper White. I layered that on top of a 3 1/4 x 4 piece of Real Red cardstock. Placed my goodies in a Cello bag and stapled my Real Red (folded in half) over the top of the bag. The flat side of the staple was the back and then I adhered the strawberry filled Whisper White to cover up the open pronged staple. Circle 1-3/8 punched some Old Olive and Real Red cardstock and layered one with one more huffed strawberry punched with 1-1/4 circle punch. Scallop punched the coordinating color and layered it all with dimensionals. Now I wish I could take full credit for the idea, but I did see it on someone's blog, way back when the Mini first came out. And she used orange and lemon candies as well. If anyone knows to whom I should give proper credit, please let me know. Hope you like it!
