My Refuge and Strength

Time for another challenge at PPA. This time a sketch challenge. I turned the sketch to accommodate my 'need'.
*Started with a standard size Kraft card base of 5-1/2 x 4-1/4 scored across the top
*Took a piece of Bella Bleu DSP and gave it a decorative edge with the Scallop Edge punch and matted it with Not Quite Navy
*Using the Refuge and Strength set, I inked up my cross in Close to Cocoa and stamped onto Very Vanilla. Then inked up my sentiment in Not Quite Navy and stamped it directly over my cross
*Roughed up the edges with my finger nail and using a dauber inked with Close to Cocoa, lightly inked up the edges. TIP: For those of you that want to save your nails, the Cutter Kit (106958) has a distressing tool along with some other cool gadgets.
*Added some Not Quite Navy punched Photo Corners to my focal point
*Three Choc Chip Corduroy buttons were given a decorative touch with a sliver of Not Quite Navy cardstock threaded and gently tied and then placed on top of Not Quite Navy 3/4" Circles.

Hope you have some time to play.

Kim,

Love the card. I have been eyeing that set and wondering what I could use it for. I love the cross image.

I love how you turned the sketch on the side, Kim! You made it fit your "need"! Love your card! The Bella Bleu DSP is one of my favorites and it looks great with the stamp set you used! I like too how you placed your corduroy buttons atop the circles! The Not Quite Navy circles compliment your photo corners of the same color! Nice balance! Very clever and very pretty!
