Flowers for You

Forsythias in bloom, yellow little flowers seem to be the first signs of spring. So I picked this yellow bouquet for all my readers :) I followed the SCS Sketch 224 and Color Challenge 213. My flowers were kreated with the Echoes of Kindness hostess lev 2 set. If you live in the Northern NJ area and would like to have a party and earn this set free, contact me.
I used my SU Markers to ink the So Saffron flower petals and Old Olive stems. Color directly on your stamp, a little huff of breath to remoisten the ink and stamp. Cool, right? Went back and touched up the stems with a bit of Certainly Celery and 'layered' So Saffron on my petals to achieve 'shadowed' areas. I touched a small area of each flower with my 2-way glue pen and sprinkled a dusting of Dazzling Diamonds. Perfect subtle shimmer. Added a small 1/4" Bashful Blue Grosgrain bow to tie off my bouquet. Then I used my dauber gently dabbed in Bashful blue and with a light circular motion kreated a soft backdrop. I mounted this to Close to Cocoa, added two strips of So Saffron Ribbon (from the previous Sale-a-bration catalog) to my Bashful Blue card base and you have a card for almost any occasion. I decided not to add a sentiment at this time as I'm not sure what I'll use it for, but I think I have options, right? :)
