Mambo Number 123

Anyone humming the Lou Bega tune Mambo Number 5? Hehe ;) Mojo Monday 123 provided us with two sketch options this week. Here is a quick card using the Scallop Circle sketch (You can scroll down to the next post to see my other version).

* A 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 piece of Melon Mambo scored in half was run through the Big Shot with the Scallop Circle Die. TIP: Leave a few scallops showing above your fold to keep the card intact after run through with the die.

* With my Circle Scissors Plus I cut out a circle almost 4in from Kaleidoscope DSP and then another with Whisper White

* Inked up my sentiment from Fifth Avenue Floral in Melon Mambo and stamped onto Whisper White and trimmed it down. Using my scoring blade, I scored 2 lines above and below my sentiment.

* Melon Mambo Polka Dot Ribbon is used as my vertical 'element' for the sketch

* Pretty in Pink and the NEW Beautiful Wings Embosslit from the Occasions Mini were run through the Big Shot for the most delicate and beautiful butterflies.

* I enhanced each butterfly a bit more using VersaMark and Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder and set the sparkle with my Heat Tool. Each butterfly made a landing on a glue dot and I gently 'curled' the edges of the wings to give it a more 3D appearance.

Have a wonderful weekend! Happy Stamping!!!

This is so pretty.

I was thinking of adding those butterflies on my "next" order. You may have just convinced me to push forward with them. :)
