Valentine Hop

WELCOME to the Valentine Holiday Hop. We are at it again, a group of talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrators are ready to show off their paper crafting skills with inspirational ideas using Stampin' Up! products for Valentine's Day. We will showcase all that Stampin’ Up! has to offer – from rubber stamps, designer paper, embellishments, and much more. We are so excited to have you hop along with us. Feel free to leave as many comments along the way. We love to know what you think!

If you have arrived here from Mary's blog, Stampin' Pretty, then I am sure you have been inspired!! I am stop #7 and I hope you will continue to hop along with me and the rest of this talented group.

Oooo, La, La, Pepe' the skunk, from Pun Fun set, 'stinks you are sweet' .
These 3 x 3 cards and matching envies will be nestled snuggly into this cute heart tote made using the Big Shot and Petal Card Die.
You can find a tutorial for the bag here.

* Rich Razzleberry DSP is run through the Big Shot with the Petal Card Die to kreate the heart shaped bag
* Melon Mambo Polka Dot Ribbon and Fire Rhinestone Circle Brads kreate the handle
* NEW Sweet Pea Felt Flowers (thanks Kris) layered together are an adorable accent for the front of this bag.
* 'happy valentine's day' comes from the set Teeny Tiny Wishes. Inked in Melon Mambo onto Whisper White - softened with a sponge dauber and Soft Suede ink, and shaped into a 'flag' with my Corner Rounder and Photo Corner Punches.

The Pretty in Pink 3x3 cards...
*Each were run through the Big Shot and the Background Texturz Plates (sm dots and lrg dots)
*Pepe' was inked in Jet Black Stazon.
*One of the cards Pepe' is holding a bouquet of flowers kreated using the flowers from the Loads of Love Accessories and omitting the one flower from the inked image, stamp, then eyeballing the bouquet to place it just right! Cute right :)
* Watercolored using my Aquapainter
* Popped out using my 1-3/4" Circle Punch
* Kreated a 2" matte from Melon Mambo using my Circle Scissor Plus Tool
* Accented with a Black Gingham Ribbon bow adhered with a Glue Dot

Aren't they stinkin' sweet :)

And finally my Loads of Love card. I had stamped out my truck and watercolored and wasn't quite sure what to do next. Then I thought my image would work great with this weeks Mojo Monday sketch.

* Using Jet Black Stazon, I inked up my truck and stamped onto Watercolor Paper. I inked it up again and stamped onto another piece of Watercolor Paper.
* On one piece, using my Aquapainter, I colored in the body of my truck with Real Red. TIP: Create a pool of ink in the lid of your SU pad by squeezing together your closed pad. Once dry, I snipped out my truck body and window.
* Highlighted a few areas of my truck with a White Signo Gel Pen
* On the other stamped image, I inked up my hearts from the Loads of Love set, and placed them in the back of the truck. And also stamped the girl in the front seat.
* Watercolored a sky using Tempting Turquois, the tires with Black, the hearts with Pretty in Pink and Real Red
* Then I layered my truck body on dimensions on the full image. (I hope that all makes)
* Added a few 'puffs' of hearts
* Using a Corner Rounder softened the corners of the image layer
* Mounted the image onto the Real Red card base. The Real Red base was run through the Big Shot with the larger dots from the Backgrounds Texturz Plates.
* Followed the rest of the sketch with a vertical strip of Pretty in Pink, given a decorative edge with my Scallop Border Punch and piercing tool. Followed with a Real Real Polka Dot Ribbon and knot adhered with a Glue Dot
* Sentiment was inked in Real Red and popped out with a 1-1/4" Circle Punch. Using a sponge dauber inked in Real Red, distressed the edges. Placed on a Real Red Scallop Circle with added dots from my White Signo Gel Pen.

Hope you have enjoyed your stop here. If you have, won't you please take a moment to leave me a comment. Love to know your thoughts :)
