Beautiful Vellum Butterflies

Thank you so much for all your sweet comments about my daughters recital. I'm going to do my best to show you her dance, I just need to figure out the techie stuff- yikes!!!

After tinkering with a card that I just couldn't seem to get right tonight, I pushed it aside to run with an idea. I had a bunch of vellum cardstock butterflies sitting on my desk and I had to 'redeem' myself from a failed card attempt ;). This came together so quickly and I hope you like it. Man, hours on this other card that I think will soon see the trash, and this took like 15minutes!! Anywho...

* Standard cardbase of Crumb Cake, formerly Kraft
* 5-1/2 x 4-1/4 piece of vellum run through the Big Shot and the Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder - in itself is gorgeous, don't ya think?
* Dainty and beautiful vellum butterflies come from the Beautiful Wings Embosslit
* Two Glue Dots in the top corners hold the embossed vellum piece onto the Crumb Cake base
* A little Vanilla Smooch and this card has the perfect subtle shimmer (you'll have to trust me on this one ;)
* Delicate White Organza Ribbon tied in a pretty bow is the perfect soft embellishment for this card
* 'Birthday Wishes' was inked in White Stazon. I just love the delicate font in the sentiments from Watercolor Trio, in the Summer Mini.
* Vellum butterflies flutter across this card and land on a glue dot to stay put.

I hope you like my 'redemption' card! I couldn't leave my space frustrated with a failed card ;) I have a feeling many of you know what I'm talking about! Let me know what ya think - I love to read your thoughts :)

This is so beautiful! I've always loved Kraft as it can look very rustic, but I love how silky and elegant you made it look! THanks for sharing!

This is so pretty - do you attach the vellum under the ribbon? I struggle with vellum but I may try this - love it!

That card is gorgeous. You more than redeemed yourself (and, yes, I understand your "pain"). How do you tie your bow so perfectly?

Been there, done that! It's frustrating when things aren't going right. Sometimes the most simple card is just as beautiful and the one you are showing here is very beautiful!

I love how delicate it looks. Very pretty Kim!

Great card - very simple, but elegant. Did you use Vellum card stock or the vellum paper? Thanks. Cindy cindygreen9@gmail.com
