June tends to be a busy month, doesn't it? For me, my oldest has a birthday (today in fact), my twin nieces have a birthday too and then there are the dads and sometimes even some grads :) So here are a few kreations with them all in mind using our Fond Farewell Colors.
Along with our Fond Farewell Colors, we'll also be bidding a farewell to many Designer Papers too. One of my favorites, this year, has been the Cottage Wall paper. This Double Gate Fold card uses Orchid Opulence and Pale Plum coordinating with the Cottage Wall paper and this soon to be retired set, A Kind Word. Having two little girls of my own and a lined image stamp that I could color/watercolor, this was a must have for me!
Added a little Vanilla Smooch to the DSP to give it a subtle shimmer that I know will get that gasp of 'oh so pretty, mommy' from my daughter. And of course a few fluttering butterflies, from Beautiful Wings Embosslit (still available to order), in Pale Plum, Orchid Opulence and Apricot Appeal. Who doesn't love a butterfly? Happy 6th Birthday Kayla!!!
For the dads... this is another vest card, using Amy Celona's wonderful template, making this one even more schnazzy :)
* Vest kreated with Creamy Caramel. Swiped my Close to Cocoa ink pad over one side of the Square Lattice Embossing Folder and ran it through the Big Shot. Makes the vest look like a 'tweed' type of fabric - so cool, right?
* Choc Chip Corduroy buttons and a nifty Crushed Curry polka dot hanky (crushed curry ribbon) tucked into a Tag punched pocket make this a very handsome vest :)
* My 'chambray' pin striped shirt was kreated with Brocade Blue cardstock, a ruler and my Signo White Gel Pen
* A Crushed Curry tie and clear rhinestone 'tie-tack' finish off the ensemble
For the grads...gift cards and money seem to be the easiest. But its all in the presentation. How about this grad cap gift card holder?? Follow this template to get the wow before they even reach the gift!!!
* A Going Gray cap with edges distressed in Basic Gray to give it some dimension
* A momentus year capped off in Go Go Boots numbers run through the Big Shot with Crushed Curry
* Make your tassle of ribbon, twine, hemp, or cording and place it around a brad.
* Simple inside, (really could have used the Happy Grad stamp in the new Summer MIni (only $8.95!)) reveals a message inked in VersaMark and heat embossed with Clear Embossing Powder and of course a place to tuck your gift!
I hope you enjoyed your stop and were inspired by my kreations. NOW...

«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 265 of 265I love the clear mounts for storage reasons!!
Great cards and great question. In fact I ask myself that same thing with every order. I'm still not sure which I prefer. Love the clear mount for the storage and price, love the woodmount for ease of use! I'll probably just continue buying a little of each!
I haven't had a chance to try the clear mount stamps yet. I've heard great things about them, so I'm hoping to be able to get some soon!!
I like the clear the best. I don't see as good as I used to. This helps me when I line it up or realine it.
Clear (without using the sticker images).
Oh by far the clear mount stamps. I wish all my stamps were clear mount, I find myself reaching for the clear mount over the wood. They are perfect for positioning and for storage. The best thing SU ever did. Thanks for sharing your amazing talent, and a very happy birthday to your daughter, may she have many, many more.
Oh, my gosh! I love your projects, they are awesome. As far as the stamps are concerned. I was ready to hate the clear mount stamps, one of my most unfavorite things to do was to mount my new stamp sets, so I thought I would hate the clear because everytime I would have to mount them. NOT AT ALL! I haven't bought a wood mount since they came out. I absolutely love them!
Thanks for sharing
I really love the vest card, just ordered the embossing folder to do just something fun like that! I like wood mount though...feels good to stamp with!
Your cards are terrific!! I really like the new clear mount stamps. One of the greatest advantages is the storage issue.
Kim, I love all of your cards especially the card for father's day. My dad would love one of those. I will have to give that a try. I love the new clear for storage, I just need a few more clear mounts to put them on. Thanks for giving me a chance to win your awesome candy
Love your cards! Esp the girlie one! How cute is that! I am lovin' these clear stamps! More room for them and I can fit 2 sets in one
case for even more room!
Clear mount for storage purposes and ease of two-step stamping.
Oh, man, clear mount all the way! I love the ease of storage; and, I'm a very green person, so I feel so much better knowing I'm not using up any trees for all of that wood. Beautiful cards, by the way. Thanks so much for sharing! ;o)
I love the clear mounts over the wood mounts. Happy that SU gives their customers both options. These stamps are easier to position to see image while stamping as well as storage is awesome!

I'm so excited that SU is offering more and more clear mount sets and I have to say Yeah to them- for all the reasons you mentioned plus they are kinder to the environment.
Great cards btw- love the vest card.
Your cards are fabulous!! I particularly love the A Kind Word card...just beautiful!
I am sold 100% on the clear mount stamps and so are most of my customers.
I love the wood mount but then again, I haven't tried SU's clear mount yet, so they could be my favorites. I just love the crispness of the SU rubber so I'm sure I'd love them.
I LOVE the clear mount stamps.....I like that I can see how they line up and where exactly I'm stampin.
I have always loved the wood mount stamps -- but I think the clear mount definitely help save space --so clear = more stamps! Sandy in VA
your cards are so cute! I love the clear mount stamps so glad SU went in this direction!!
I enjoy the clear mount stamps, my cards have turned out nicer since I've been using them.
I like both! If the set has lots of small pieces, I go for the wood. A set with mostly larger pieces, clear is great. Love the storage of the clear!
I can't wait to try the clear mount. Very versatile, it's going to help keep things cleaner.
Thanks for a chance to win! Love the colors that you used with the new stamp set! I prefer the wood mount, but the clear mount is growing on me!
I actually prefer the old-fashioned wooden stamps. I want to like the clear stamps, and they seem like a good idea, but I never have the right size clear blocks to mount them all on, I have trouble keeping them oriented properly, and I lose the little clear blocks all the time. I guess I just need more practice.
Thanks for the fun blog-hop and the chance to win some great SU items!
Clear mount because it's easy to store.
Tough question--I do not have any su clear stamps YET, but I love my non-su acrylic ones--so I expect to prefer the clear. Less storage, easier clean up...
Great work, love the cards!
Kari
Absolutely exquisite projects . . . that father's day vest is the bomb. Hugs, Mary
Clear mount - hands down. I love how easy it is to align the stamps. I don't think there's any turning back fro me! Gorgeous cards. Love the vest card with the Square Lattice!
Mike
I actually prefer the wood mount stamps. Storing is not the easiest but I like the steadiness of the wood. TFS
Mahalo!

Oh how have I ever managed to line things up with no stamp-a ma-jig with the wood blocks all these years? Well, Now I don't need to worry with the clear mounts. And, they feel so nice in your hand.
Love your cards. The vest card is too cute. TFS
I prefer the clear mount stamps as I think they are easier to use and place on your project. Yes, you do have to use the stamp-a-majig sometimes for exact placement, but not always.
I really like the clear mounts but they are sometimes harder to clean. Mine tend to come off the block.
Thanks
Oh...hard ? I love the feel of the new clear blocks, oh so smooth, and I like seeing where it is going...but clean up and switching the images is giving me some grief. Storage and lower price is super-duper though. More stamps, less $$$, and less storage space is a GREAT benefit.
First, love your projects! I love the clear, I can see where Im stamping and I can store more. :)
definitely clear mount. Namely for storage, but I love the fact that you aren't storing all those blocks and you can see exactly where you are stamping!
kathy.brown@pobox.com
I love the new clear stamps. Not only for the price but I love to be able to see where I am stamping!
clear mount for the same reason that u indicated.
Old habits are hard to break. I like the storage much better w/ the clear but am still leaning toward wood mounted :)
Wilda
I am loving the new clear mount stamps. I love the price and I love that they take up less space..and you still get the nice rubber stamp image.
I haven't used the clear mount enough to really say, but the one set I have I love seeing what I am doing. I like the cost too. So I don't plant to remount my old ones but plan to give other clear mounts a try.
Sue G
Call these all WOW cards--great job, thanks for sharing!! I do prefer the new clear mount. Easier to use, to store and to create background stamps. I love the larger block--fill it with many stamps and go crazy lots of space covered in no time!!!
Your vest card absolutely rocks!!!!
I am really liking the new clear mount stamps.
I am very partial to pinks/purples, so I just love the first card shown! And the vest card is awesome! Your question is hard for me to answer b/c I have yet to try any of the clear stamps. I can see the advantage of the clear stamps, storage, price, etc, but I'm stuck on WM and I hate to think of changing! So I guess my answer is WM.....at least for now! :)
Sharon L
To be honest, at first I thought I'd never try the clear mount, but I did and there is no going back now. Love them........so much easier for me because my vision isn't what it used to be and this is so easy for stamp placement. Loved your grad card, so creative!!
I love the feel of having the wood mount ones in my hands!
I like the clear mount stamps. I like seeing where I am stamping, but most of all, the STORAGE! BTW, that vest card is too cool!
The majority of my stamps are wood however I really like the clear stamp sets. I like the ability to see the image and less storage space required. Wonderful cards!
Definitely the clear mount--so much easier to get the stamp in exactly the right spot when it really matters!
The clear mount stamps are amazing. I love that SU came up with a simple yet genius way to make them work!
Thank you for the chance to win blog candy. Without a doubt - clear mount - all the way! I have re-done so many of my wood mount and converted them to clear mount.
I love your shaped cards. How clever. I need to add you to my sites to visit often. I am a wood mount person but the small storage area and way you can see to place them better is causing clear mounts to really grow on me.
I'm sure I will grow to love the new clear mounts best. What I've played with so far was a lot of fun and makes proper placement a snap without getting out the stampamajig.... :D
I like the new clear mount for small stamps, two-step stamping and words/greetings---easier placement without the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig. But for large and detailed images, I prefer the wood.
I really like the new clear-mount stamps, especially with the two-step stamp sets. They are so much easier to store and take up less room.
I love following your blog. You have such great ideas.
I love all of your cards especially the Father's Day vest card! So cute!
I'm very new to the clear mount stamps. I've been a wood mount purist until SU! came up with their clear mount.I now have a few CM sets and I am really enjoying them. I love that they are still rubber and stamp so well. That's really been my issue with polymer stamps.Su! has brilliantly solved that problem so I will most likely purchase more CM because I love the easier storage.
Thanks for sharing and for the chance to win the awesome candy!
Inky hugs,
Janet
I am loving the clear mount stamps because I can see where I am stamping without having to use my stamp-a-ma-jig.
I'm a fan of the clear mount stamps for all the reasons you mentioned and the prices. I also love that they don't require a lot of storage room.

I prefer the wood mount only because that is what I am use to. I have been eying the clear mounted stamps because they are easier on the wallet and it seems like they would be awesome for placement.
I really like both. I have more wood mounted stamps and have found them very reliable. The new clear mount from Stampin up I have yet to try. I have used other clear mounts and liked the ease of placement. I look forward to getting some of the new Stampin Up sets as clear mount.
oops left an anonymous message last time...so here's my answer again
Clear mount for storage and affordability puposes!
Definitely the clear stamps. They are so easy to use and take up a lot less space.
I think the clear mounting is going to be great for novices (especially with two-step stamping).
I love the clear mount!
I love the feel of wood mounts. I love the space the clear mounts will allow me to have. And I love the feel of the SU clear acrylic blocks! I am in the process of unmounting all of my wood mounted stamps.
